Arrest Warrant Issued Against Lalu Yadav in 1990s Arms Case
A special court in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, issued a permanent arrest warrant against former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav in a case related to the alleged illegal purchase of arms and ammunition in 1995-97. The warrant was issued as Yadav failed to appear in court. The case involves the purchase of arms from an authorized dealer using fake documents. Yadav, convicted and jailed in the fodder scam, was released on bail in 2021.
Chandigarh Mayor Election: Anil Masih Apologizes for False Statements
Anil Masih, the Returning Officer in the Chandigarh Mayor elections, tendered an unconditional apology before the Supreme Court for making false statements and tampering with ballot papers. He had invalidated eight votes, which were later validated in favor of Aam Aadmi Party candidate Kuldeep Kumar.
Abbas Ansari Seeks Court Nod for Father’s Fateha Event
Abbas Ansari, son of deceased gangster-politician Mukhtar Ansari, approached the Supreme Court seeking permission to attend his father’s Fateha ceremony. Abbas, currently lodged in Kasganj jail, was not allowed to attend the funeral and now seeks permission for the upcoming ceremony on April 10. Ansari’s death in Banda jail raised questions, with his family alleging “slow poisoning.”

The scheme supports tribal people in production, product development, and market access. It merges two existing schemes to provide comprehensive assistance.
