WATCHING CHILD PORNOGRAPHY WITHOUT DOWNLOAD AMOUNTS TO POSSESSION: SC
Case Title: Just Rights for Children Alliance v. S. Harish
Recently the Supreme Court of India passed a judgement regarding watching child pornographic. The Sc ruled that even watching without downloading is also a form of ‘’possession’’ under Section15 of POCSO ACT. The ruling highlighted Section 15 which states the offence of possessing child pornographic material. The SC mentioned doctrine of constructive possession which means if control over pronographic material is exercised without deleting or reporting it to the concerned authorities.

SUBRAMANIAN SWAMY FILES PIL ON ADULTERATED GHEE IN TIRUPATI LADDU
Case Title: Dr. Subramanian Swamy v. State of Andhra Pradesh & Ors.
Recently a Pil has been filed in the Supreme Court of India by Subramanian Swamy regarding the investigation of use of ghee in preparation of Tirupati Laddus. Petitioner demanded a committee under retired judges to oversee the investigation and verify the forensic results of the investigation on adulterated ghee used while making laddus during previous YSRCP ruling.

SEX EDUCATION MUST BE IMPLEMENTED TO REDUCE CHILD PORN CONSUMPTION: SC
Case Title: Just Rights for Children Alliance v. S. Harish
The Supreme Court urged the Union to implement comprehensive sex education to curb child sexual exploitation. Misconceptions about sex education as a Western concept hinder its implementation. The judgment also called for legislative amendments to replace “child pornography” with “child sexual exploitative and abuse material.”
