The Bombay High Court upheld the sentence of the Family Court while noting that a wife filing a false complaint against her husband and in-laws just to correct his behavior causes them mental cruelty and destroys the essentials of a marital relationship. The decision was upheld under section 13(1)(ia) of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955.

Case Name: Md Heydaitullah Vs. National Investigation Agency
A division bench comprising Justice Prathiba M Singh and Justice Amit Sharma denied granting bail to an alleged member of ISIS under Section 43D(5) in The Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967, after observing the accused’s intention to join ISIS, to advocate jihad to establish Caliphate and his keen interest to propagate ISIS ideology by encouraging individuals via various platforms.

NON-RECOVERY OF WEAPONS DOESN’T WEAKEN THE PROSECUTION CASE IF THERE ARE DIRECT WITNESS: SUPREME COURT
Case Name: Goverdhan & Anr. Vs. State Of Chhattisgarh
The court while dealing with a plea against conviction under Section 302(murder) of IPC, held that the recovery of the weapon of crime is not a sine qua non and an individual can be convicted in the absence of that when there are reliable direct witnesses of the crime.
