INDIAN FORCES DESTROY PAKISTANI DRONES, RETALIATE ACROSS BORDER (OPERATION BUNYAN AL-MARSUS)

India neutralized multiple Pakistani drone threats near Amritsar, launching counter-strikes that demolished terror launchpads and military posts. This multiple drone strike over India and this action are named Operation Bunyan Al Marsus by Pakistan. The Indian Army condemned Pakistan’s cross-border violations as unacceptable, asserting its right to self-defense under international law. Indian officials reported casualties and injuries from drone attacks targeting civilians and military zones.
LEGAL PROVISIONS

- What is OPERATION BUNYAN AL-MARSUS? According to The New York Times, this meant “a firm and compact structure”. This is a verse taken from the Quran.

TERRITORIAL ARMY ACTIVATED AMID ESCALATING TENSIONS WITH PAKISTAN
Issue: Ministry of Defence Notification on Territorial Army Deployment (on 6th May 2025)
In response to Pakistan’s heightened aggression, the Indian government activated 14 Territorial Army battalions for deployment until 2028. This strategic move enhances national readiness and reinforces India’s defense apparatus amid Operation Sindoor, launched to retaliate against terror camps responsible for the Pahalgam attack that claimed 26 civilian lives.
