Overview

The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended 26 names for appointment as judges of the Allahabad High Court comprising 12 lawyers and 14 judicial officers . Among them are three senior advocates of the Supreme Court—Garima Prashad, Swarupama Chaturvedi and Abdhesh Kumar Chaudhary . Garima Prashad also holds the position of Additional Advocate General of Uttar Pradesh . This step is significant in filling vacancies in the country’s largest High Court .
