LOCUS STANDI

 Locus standi-It means the legal standing or the right of a person or entity to bring a case or participate in a legal proceeding, typically based on their direct interest or connection to the matter in question

  • Locus :- place or position 
  • Standi :- to stand

Example –A neighbor’s right to file a legal complaint against a noisy construction project next door. Their ability to do so depends on whether they can show that the noise is causing them direct harm or discomfort, granting them “locus standi” to take legal action.
