Guardian : Is an individual who has legal and ethical responsibility for the care, protection, and decision-making on behalf of someone who is unable to manage these aspects themselves. Guardians are often appointed for minors, individuals with disabilities, or incapacitated adults. They ensure the well-being and interests of the person under their care, making decisions related to their health, education, finances, and other important matters. (Section 17 of Guardians and Wards Act)
