SUPREME COURT RULES ON IMMEDIATE IMPLEMENTATION OF BAIL ORDERS
Case Name: Jitendra Paswan Satya Mitra v. State of Bihar
On 2nd September, the Supreme court ruled that once the court determines an accused bail order then delaying its implementation violates the person’s fundamental right under Article 21 of Indian Constitution. The apex court gave this ruling after Patna high court delayed a bail order by six months. Bench mentioned that postponing bail after determining its entitlement is not permissible.

SUPREME COURT CRITICISES FAMILY COURT’S MECHANICAL APPROACH IN DIVORCE CASE
Case Name: Prabhavathi @ Prabhamani v. Lakshmeesha M.C.
Recently the Family Court’s approach towards divorce decree raised concerns regarding its approach of granting and favouring the husband instead of husband’s responsibility in breakdown of marriage. The Supreme Court expressed dissatisfaction for such bias against the wife. The Court criticised the approach and increased the alimony amount also said that such irretrievable breakdown cannot benefit the party at fault

SUPREME COURT SEEKS AFFIDAVIT ON RATION CARDS FOR MIGRANT WORKERS
Case Name: In Re Problems and Miseries of Migrant Labourers
Recently the Supreme court of India directed the Union to file a detailed affidavit on the compliance with directions regarding ration cards for the migrant workers. Even after previous directives to ensure food security of unorganised workers under Article 21. This order came in response to the concern raised over non-issuance of ration cards to workers registered under e-Shram portal.
