26 BANGLADESHI IMMIGRANTS ARRESTED IN MEGHALAYA FOR ILLEGAL ENTRY


The BSF apprehended 26 Bangladeshi nationals in Meghalaya for unauthorized entry into India. Four Indian citizens were also arrested for facilitating their illegal movement. Interrogation revealed their intended relocation to Maharashtra and Assam using forged documents.

  • Foreigners Act, 1946 – Section 14: Penalty for illegal entry.
  • Passport (Entry into India) Act, 1920 – Governs entry without valid documentation.

NOMINATED MEMBERS IN RAJYA SABHA: ROLE & CONSTITUTIONAL BASIS

PM MODI CONSULTS UJJWAL NIKAM ON MARATHI USE IN MAHARASHTRA SPEECH
