KARNATAKA HIGH COURT CLARIFIES ON BIKE TAXI OPERATIONS

Overview: Uber India Systems Private Limited vs State of Karnataka.


The Karnataka High Court clarified that it did not permit bike-taxi aggregators like Uber, Rapido, and Ola to resume operations. The bench emphasized that while the state can regulate or prohibit aggregator services under law, individual bike owners should not face unnecessary harassment. Government action against violators remains valid.
