The Calcutta High Court took suo motu cognizance of a mob heckling lawyers and defacing a sitting judge’s image. The Division Bench issued notices to the AG, ASG, and bar associations. The Court emphasized that litigants cannot protest while pursuing legal remedies and assured that the matter will be addressed promptly.
