Ex nudo pacto non-oritur Actio-The maxim is related to the Indian contract Act,which means an agreement made without consideration is void. Consideration is an important element to form a valid contract.

  • nudo :- bare or naked
  • pacto :-agreement or promise or contact
  • non-oritur :-not arise
  • actio :-suit or an action or right or cause of action
  • Example :- A and B make a contract with each other regarding the sale of the house. A sold his house to B on a 50 lakh amount of consideration. In such a contract for the sale of a house, the house is a consideration for one party and the amount paid in return is the consideration for the other party.
