BURDEN OF PROOF

Burden of proof:  When a person states something and considers it to be fact he or she needs to prove the statement made by him. (Section 101,102 and 103 of Indian Evidence Act)

BAIL

Bail: The release, prior to trial, of a person accused of a crime, under specified conditions designed to assure that person's appearance in court when required.(Section 436 of Criminal Procedure Code)    

ACTIVE JUDGE

 Active judge : A judge in the full-time service of the court. (Article 124 of Indian Constitution)

ACQUITTAL

Acquittal : the finding of a judge that the evidence is insufficient to support a conviction. (Section 232 of Criminal Procedure Code)
