HABEAS CORPUS

Habeas corpus: You have the body. A writ of habeas corpus generally is a judicial order forcing law enforcement authorities to produce a prisoner they are holding, and to justify the prisoner's continued confinement. (Article 32 of Indian Constitution)

HEARSAY

Hearsay: Evidence presented by a witness who did not see or hear the incident in question but heard about it from someone else. (Section 6 of Indian Evidence Act considered as an exception)

GOOD FAITH

 Good Faith – Honest intent to act without taking an unfair advantage over another person. (Section 52 of Indian Penal Code)

GENERAL DAMAGES

General Damages - Compensation for the loss directly and necessarily incurred by a breach of contract. (Section 73 of Indian Contract Act)

FRAUD

 Fraud : Intentional deception to deprive another person of property or to injure that person in some way. (Section 17 of Indian Contract Act)

FIDUCIARY

 Fiduciary : A person having a legal relationship of trust and confidence to another and having a duty to act primarily for the other’s benefit: i.e., a guardian, trustee or executor. (Section 37 of Partnership Act)
