SANCTION

Sanction: To give effective or authoritative approval or consent to. (Section 197 of Criminal Procedure Code)

REMAND

Remand: To send back (a prisoner or accused person) into custody, as to await further proceedings. (Section 167(2) of Criminal Procedure Code)

REDEMPTION

Redemption: The right to regain ownership of property by freeing it from a debt, charge, or lien (as by paying to the creditor what is due to release the secured property). (Section 60 of Transfer of Property Act)

QUASH

 Quash: To nullify especially by judicial action. (Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code)

PETITION

Petition: A written document, signed by many people, that asks a government, etc. to do or change something. (Article 137 of Indian Constitution)

ORDER

Order:  A written or oral command from a court directing or forbidding an action. (Section 2(14) of Civil Procedure Code)
